    My Samsung electric dryer would not heat. It was pretty simple to diagnose. Once I exposed the heating element, I used a multimeter and found it was open. I could see where the element had separated. The part number was stamped on the original part. A quick search led me to McCombs site. The assembly came in 3 days and it was in and functioning in less than a half hour. So far, so good after a few days of use. I did purchase the assembly vs just the element so I would have new sensors installed as well.

    Great price but test parts before installing

    Compared to other parts stores, this was a huge savings. I found the heater coil was open almost exactly in the middle of one side. After installing the new kit, the dryer quit heating again after a day. After removing the drum and testing all fuses and thermos, found the newly installed thermal fuse from this kit was open. Luckily, I still had the old one and after reinstalling it the dryer worked again. I am unsure if the fuse blew because of the dryer or because it was undersized or faulty. Hopefully they will send me a replacement.

    Heating element worked fine. One of the thermostats was defective. I swapped it out with the old thermostat and everything is working perfectly.
