N197 is a High Limit Thermostat and Thermal Fuse for the Heater. 325* degree F Thermal Fuse with L250-80* degree F Limit Thermostat.  

DE838 is the Dryer element replacement for 279838. The element is rated at 5400 Watts 240 Volts and has 2- 5/16" male terminals.  

This is like the original installation on certain models. No need to splice any wires, no re wiring needed.  

Replacement for numbers 279838, 279816, 3403585, PS334313, PS334299, AP3094254 and AP3094244.
