Product Description

Robertshaw Washing Machine Water Inlet Solenoid Valve Whirlpool; part number CW-346.  

It has a 50k thermister at the outlet.  

Replacement for numbers 3979346, 3979347, 8578342, AP3175369, AP6009052, K-75161, PS731801, PS11742194, and WP3979346.  

Designed to fit specific Whirlpool manufactured washing machine models including Kitchenaid, Roper and Kenmore.  Robertshaw is the OEM manufacture for Whirlpool on this item.

    This review is for a WP3979346 replacement Whirlpool Washing Machine Water Inlet Solenoid Valve. We had noticed no water coming into our 16 year old washer all of a sudden one fine day! Few Google searches suggested trying replacement of the water inlet valve. Searched for the part and found it to be available at several vendors. McComb supply was the best price with shipping. There are a few YouTube videos showing how this part can be replaced. So glad to report that it works. One thing to keep in mind. After replacing this part, when you select the desired wash setting and pull start knob, it takes a few extra seconds before water starts to run. Water run was instantaneous in the previous part which was original when the machine was bought brand new. No complaints whatsoever. Does what it is intended to do.

    Hole in part did not line up 100 percent with washing machine hole,but close enough I could make it work.

    The product is damaged at the time I received, most likely due to poor packaging and shipping. McCombs is agreed to send a replacement; but I have not received yet.
