Although this was not the exact same motor brand as the original motor, it fit perfectly. I hope it lasts longer too since the original motor stopped working after only three years after purchasing the refrigerator. This motor actually has slightly more torque so it breaks up the ice in the ice bin a little better than the original. It installed easily and so far works great.

The new motor was exactly the same as the one that wore out. It was easy to install and works perfectly.

Well, I thought this part would solve the problem of my ice dispenser not dispensing ice but it didn’t. The part is perfectly fine, it’s just that I need to troubleshoot more to see what causes the problem of my ice dispenser working sometimes and sometimes not. Even with the new auger gear motor from McCombs, my ice maker functions the same as it did before so I guess I didn’t need this part, but something else. Help!
