Range Gas Oven Igniter for 74007498 Whirlpool Maytag

Item was affordable and in working order. Manufacturer plug was different than replacement part, McComb included two ceramic wire nuts to make connection after removing the plugs. Replacement part wire length was just long enough to make the connection through the original wire path to the check module. Amana stove is 10+yrs old and pricing at McComb was low enough to buy two for less than the price of one from other retailers. (note.. when reconnecting wires, ensure you replace any thermal safety sleeves from original part to protect wires inside the oven burner area.)

Shipped quickly, reasonably priced and work perfectly to repair an oven that wouldn't stay lit.

My oven was slow to preheat, even taking awhile for the gas to even kick on. Using this part, I was able to quickly switch out the old igniter on my Maytag oven (MGR5780BDW), and it's heating like new again.
