    Dishwasher Motor Pump Assy 154844301

Posted by Tony on 19th May 2019

Perfect replacement for my Frigidaire (model# GLD2445RFB2), original Johnson part number 154792801. Side by side visual comparison was exact with the Electrolux 154844301 . McComb was great: I ordered it on-line Thursday morning and got it Saturday afternoon here in Ohio by USPS priority mail.

One pointer that's not in the instructions: be sure to remove all the filter screens, especially the plastic transition piece that snaps onto the bottom most drum filter. This plastic transition piece sticks through into the oring seal area of the pump. On mine, this piece actually protrudes through this diameter and into o-ring area, creating a step that the o-ring has to get over, possibly screwing up your o-ring if you try to install the pump with that filter transition piece installed. With it out, the o-ring easily slides into place.

Also for you amateur DYIs like me, be sure to find the video on line for how to remove and replace the pump and be sure to follow all the instructions that the dishwasher be totally drained before you tip it over to replace the motor. I was hasty and didn't do that. Evidently the seals on a dishwasher are not very good at keeping water out of the control panel area when it is on its side. My control panel initially went haywire after the install, and I had to take it out and carefully wipe it dry and the go over it with a blow-dryer. I felt very fortunate that I didn't short it out. Luckily, the main dishwasher control board was well protected with gaskets. As always, if doing it the first time, follow the instructions (duh).

Happy ending though, despite my initial stupidity, and thanks to McComb for their great prices, quick delivery, and good parts. My ten year old dishwasher is now running like new again!

    Motor replacement worked well

I used this item to replace the original motor in an Electrolux dishwasher model fdb520rhs0. The motor was slightly bigger than the original motor, length-wise, but there was plenty of space so this wasn't an issue.

The dishwasher works now, which is great. It's not very quiet when the dishwasher runs, but that's no different than the original motor so call it a wash. (See what I did there?)

The included O-rings were a nice touch.

    Great part, Fast Shipping

Bought this pump/motor for a Fridgidaire model FGBD2431KB1 but in reading it is clear this part number works in a variety of dishwashers. I ordered the part in the evening and 3 days later it went across the country and showed up on my doorstep. Great service from McCombs. I installed roughly a week ago and I've run 3 wash cycles since then and it is working perfectly and now I don;t have the whine of the old failing part. The box did include the motor as well as both o-rings which was helpful as I tore the smaller one getting the old motor out. Had I read first I would have known to pull the motor straight out instead of twisting it. Same thing when putting it back in. I cleaned up the area where it installs into and put a small amount of liquid soap on the o-rings and opening and it went in with no problems. Buy it, you'll like it.
