Looks to be a great replacement for Samsung's poorly made idler assembly. Shame Samsung can't make a quality idler like almost every other Appliance Mfgr can.

This pulley is what samsung should have originally installed.
They are still using the fail prone design. Being an appliance repair service this has meant job security!

If your Samsung Dryer is making a screeching noise, then this is more than likely your problem. The original Idler Pulley didn't have a ball bearing but had a wheel with a bushing and the grease lubricant would dry out creating friction and the wheel starts to freeze up. This is a replacement Idler Pulley from Samsung and it has been redesigned with a ball bearing that should last a lot longer than the original. I watched a video on YouTube that shows access from the back through the removal of the vent hose plate. I ordered from McCombs as I had ordered from them previously. They expedite the orders fairly rapidly, are well stocked, and reasonably priced. Our Samsung Dryer now sounds like it did when we bought it. You can't go wrong ordering from McCombs.
Our Samsung Dryer started to make an awful screeching sound and after some research, I believed it was the Idler Pulley. I saw a video on YouTube showing the replacement of the pulley and decided to order the replacement from McCombs. I have ordered from them previously and they proved to be reasonably priced with fairly quick expediting of their orders. The pulley is the new version from Samsung with an actual bearing that should last a lot longer than the original design. Needless to say, our dryer now sounds like it did when it was new. If your dryer is making the dreaded screeching noise, it's a very good chance that it's caused by the idler pulley. And McCombs is a great choice for a supplier.
It's a replacement Samsung part. As of writing this review the thing has not burst into flames or exploded like the original one in the dryer did.
