McCombs Featured Part

Our featured part of the day is the new replacement for Electrolux Frigidaire (part no. 5303935066) oven range flat ignitor. It's SKU number is 41-205.

It sells for  for $13.95.

The Norton oven ignitor (SKU 41-205, model 501A) has a ceramic bar that measures 1.5 inches long. This ignitor will replace any ignitor that measures 1.5 inches. Ceramic wire nuts (to make the splice connection) and metal shield around ignitor are included.

This Igniter is a universal fit. You will have to make a wire nut connection with wire nuts that are included.

This is a replacement for numbers 12400035, 5303935066, 814269, WB2X9998 and WB13K21.

This ignitor fits many different manufacture range models including GE, Hotopint, Whrilpool, Frigidaire, Gibson, Tappan, Magic Chef, Maytag, Roper and others.

How Do You Know?

How do you know the ignitor needs replaced? If the burner does not light then you should check the ignitor first. If the ignitor does not glow at all, then check for power to the circuit. 

Remember, this is a live voltage and should be performed by a qualified person. If power is present then the ignitor may be open circuit and can be checked for continuity with a multi-meter that we sell at McCombs. 

If the ignitor is glowing, but the burner is not lighting, the ignitor may be weak and still be bad because it requires a certain amount of current draw to open the valve.

This check requires the use of an amp meter.

Ignitors come in both flat and round styles and are very fragile.
