This item includes 2 pieces:
Thermal fuse number 8318314 is 325*F
Thermostat number 8557403 is 295*F / 122*C &
Both thermostats are for a two wire hook up.
The 8557403 thermostat has a thermistor attached to it, a connector plugs into the thermistor.
Replacement for numbers AP3874047 and PS991443.
Designed to fit specific Whirlpool manufactured dryer models including some Kitchenaid, Roper and Kenmore models.

    If you're mechanically inclined enough to to get to the heater coil, then you'll have no problem replacing the thermostats. It's 4 screws and 5 wires. Perfect fit and great results.
