This ice maker works flawlessly for the oem replacement on our Samsung French door fridge/freezer. It connects up to the upper housing a little differently and took me a minute to fully grasp the concept. However, once you put the nipples on the freezer roof into the ice make slots, you just push towards the back. Make sure you watch your wire harness in the rear so you don’t jam it up in a weird way. Once I installed it, I pressed the reset button on the ice maker (located on the right side of the ice maker toward the top) and listened for it to start its restart cycle. Once I heard the water run, I closed everything up and had ice dropping in within two hours. Don’t be discouraged if you do this and ice doesn’t start dropping within two hours. Samsung states that it can take up to 24 hours for it to complete a reset and start ice again! Hope this helps and would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a quality replacement at a competitive price. Side note* shipping was quick!

My ice maker in my Samsung fridge stopped working and bought this item to replace it and it works great. Just have to install and press side button to reset til it dings and it resets
