The WE4M415 Dryer Door Switch sends a signal to the dryer control panel to let it know if the door is open or closed. As a safety feature, the dryer will not work with an open door. When the switch is broken, it is unable to tell the control panel the door is shut, so the dryer will not turn on. Your door switch might have to be replaced if:
- The dryer will not start with the door shut
- The switch is broken or shorted out
