Part numbers 279838, 279816
The element is rated at 5400 Watts 240 Volts and has 2- 5/16" male terminals
The Heater replaces part number 3403585 as well as other numbers
The element is fully assembled in a housing for easy installation
The Thermostat number 279816 includes 3 pieces:

  • Thermal Fuse number 3977393 is 309/325*F
  • Thermostat number 3390291 is 250*F/122*C
  • Jumper wire to be used when replacing 3 wire thermostat number 3977767


The 3390291 thermostat is included in 2 kits offered, the other kit is number 279769 and in that kit it includes a 352*F thermal fuse, when replacing both pieces at the same time, << it is important >> to replace a 309 w/ a 309 (279816) or a 352 w/ a 352 (279769)
These parts fits late model Whirlpool made dryers including Kitchenaid, Kenmore, Roper and Estate

    I used this part to repair a Roper REL4632DW2 dryer. Don&#039;t be afraid of this repair as it is super easy for anyone with even moderate mechanical skill. Just take before photos for wire location and turn off the power to the appliance prior to removing any screws!

    I am so glad that I was able to replace this part and get my dryer foing again. It was definitely a lot cheaper than getting a new dryer. This part easily fit onto my Kenmore dryer and was a quick (time wise) fix.
