Searched everywhere for a bi-metal defrost sensor for a 20 year ($10K) old refrigerator. The original part was discontinued and there was no mnfr cross-over. Everyone said "buy a new refrigerator." I read the specks on the old part (open and close temp) and found McCombs online. Called and the man that answered was VERY helpful, found a universal part with same specks, and reassured me it should work. Arrived FAST. Put it in and eureka - it worked! Thank you McCombs...you saved me a bundle...and my marriage LOL.
