The cold control had the brackets installed backwards so that the off is to the left instead of the right. But it is working good so far and we have our freezer back. A repairman told my sister that she needed a new compressor. All it needed was a new cold control...
I guess I am more qualified than the appliance repairman is.
This freezer cold control worked very well. In fact I had to turn the dial down because it was on -20 degrees.
