Here at McCombs Supply we are going "Old School," dusting off our shelf to pull down vintage parts that work great for older models of appliances. 

When I think "Old School" I think of something that is a throw-back to a different time or era. I think doing something done the right way, not cutting corners.

Maybe what you consider "Old School" depends on when you were born. For some, the Sugar Hill Band, parachute pants and Molly Ringwald is "Old School."

I think James Dean, John Wooden, Vince Lombari, John Wayne, Motown, The Rolling Stones, black-rimmed glasses, white dinner jackets. 

You like "Old School" because it is cool, tough - done the right way. 

You want the same for your appliances. 

Many of you like your "Old School" appliances because they are made well. Heck, let's be honest, many things were made better 30, 40 years ago than they are today. 

So these vintage - that sounds better than saying old - parts are made better than parts today. That refrigerator,washing machine, dryer or range/stove from the 1970s or '80 (Yes, that is considered old now) works better than new appliances sold today.

That's why you want to keep them working as long as can. 

McCombs has vintage appliance parts to keep your "experienced" washing machine, refrigerator and range/stove working well. 

A new part just added to the vintage market is the Supco LB7638 replacement dryer belt 5308027638 for Frigidaire, Gibson, Electrolux. Westinghouse, Kelvinator, General Electric and Kenmore manufactured washer/dryer stack and 24 combo unit models.

It is 77 inches long and sells for $7.50.

If you have an old Frigidaire range that you bought in the 1970s or '80s, the CH978 element will work well for you.

The CH978 range oven lower bake heating element (see above) unit for Frigidaire (5309950885) is designed to fit vintage Frigidaire ranges, and is a replacement for numbers 9950885, 5309950885, RP978, AP2591985 and PS474710.  

It is rated 2700 Watts at 250 Volts and is 18 3/4 inches wide. The terminals are 1/4 inches and male spade. It sells for $21.72.

The CH979 bake element is also designed to fit vintage Frigidaire ranges and is 19 inches from the front to the mounting bracket and is 13-1/2 inches wide and is male spade. Cost: $22.17.

Another baking element that works great for older ranges is the CH4836. It is designed for older Whirlpool range/stoves. 

This range oven bake unit heating element for Whirlpool Roper works for part numbers WP308180, AP6007578 and PS11740695.

Rated 2600 watts at 240 volts, this vintage bake element measures 15 1/2 inches from the front to the mounting bracket 16-1/2 inches wide. It sell for $11.06. 

Our element burnt out right before Christmas and I searched so many sites for a replacement and they wanted so much money and the item wouldn't even be here until after Christmas. McCombs saved Christmas Dinner and the ones prior for us. The item arrived between 2-4 days of ordering it off of this site and only cost me 20$ for everything. - Megan P., Dec. 2017. 
 

For old General Electric washing machines, the WH49X10042 for GE agitator plastic coupling coupler (see above) fits onto the transmission and then the agitator fits over the coupling. 

This coupling fits an 18 tooth transmission spline. It sells for $7.02. 

Keep your food cold with a vintage defrost timer. Great for General Electric refrigerators, the Supco SPG1111GE Refrigerator Defrost Timer  is a replacement for GE WR9X330DS. It sells $8.40.

Just in time for baking and cooking season, this igniter (above) works well in Whirlpool units. The IG5652 Igniter 98005652 for Whirlpool Range ovens sells for $21.50.

Keep your old-style washing machine working with a WH23X10030R drain pump motor for a GE washing machine washer. 

This vintage part is designed to fit specific General Electric Manufactured washer models including Hotpoint and RCA. It is rated 120Volts, 85 Watts, 1.4 Amps, 15 minutes on, 45 minutes off. It sells online at McCombs for $16.11.
