Sept. 4 may 'end' summer, but it is officially kicks off indoor home repairs

The first Monday is September is Labor Day, the "Unofficial" end of summer. 

This year that's Sept. 4. This is traditionally about the time colleges and schools begin and scholastic sports start. 

In fashion, Labor Day is traditionally the last day for wearing white pants. In sports, the Labor Day weekend is always the middle point between the first and second weeks of the U.S. Open Tennis tournament in New York. The National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) also holds its end of the season race in Indianapolis this weekend. 

In Virginia, the amusements park industry successfully argued to keep schools from starting until after Labor Day, thus giving visitors one more week to enjoy the parks in the state. The statue is nicknamed the "King Dominion law" after one of the parks. 

By a resolution of the American Federation of Labor convention of 1909, the Sunday preceding Labor Day was adopted as Labor Sunday and dedicated to the spiritual and educational aspects of the Labor movement.

Canada's Labour Day (yes I spelled it the British way) is also celebrated on the first Monday of September. 

More than 80 countries celebrate International Workers' Day on May 1.

This is the strongest drive coupling we have come across yet.

It is re-enforced with a metal plate within the rubber part of the coupling and it has a re-enforced metal insert inserted in both pieces of plastic.
